Aerosol, a type of dispensing system, is used with a can or bottle that contains a liquid under pressure. Aerosols contain VOCs to generate good quality sprays. They serve as quick drying solvents that allow the product to be applied in the correct proportions and to keep the pressure in the can constant. Afa’s Flair™ platform will form a wide dispensing platform for liquids, fluids, high-viscosity products, soft food and a variety of other products that are susceptible to oxygen degradation. It is an ideal technology which is air-based, all-plastic, highly-effective, non-pressurized alternative to aerosol.
The technology offers an excellent spray pattern and a much sustained spray of an aerosol, while maintaining a consistent dispensing in quality and quantity, and without all the environmentally-harmful VOCs. It is also ideal in its provision of a non-pressurised, safer packaging solution for both periodic and continuous applications due to the absence of propellant gases in the system. The product can be dispensed as a foam, spray, mousse or plain liquid, with or without measured doses while the airtight nature of the system provides sterility and a longer shelf life. And it is also cost economic while compared to the traditional aerosol packaging!
Afa’s latest advancement in Flair™ technology is the latest advance from Afa will likely bring a shift in traditional packaging approaches which supports brand differentiation across a wide range of markets and applications. Afa, famous for their OnePak™ pre-compression all-in-one bottle and dispenser system, will work closely with other international brands to come up with new ways to dispense their products. Since the unveiling of the Flair™ technology concept, Afa has undertaken extensive R&D work with its clients to make the innovation a market reality. Interpack 2011 will demonstrate the effectiveness of Flair technology which has now moved from an exciting concept to a market reality.
