Production Methods (Ethanol Production Methods)
The two primary ways of producing fuel ethanol from cellulosic feedstock are:
- Biochemical(Fermentation) Conversion: Cellulosic ethanol production through the pretreatment and hydrolysis process
- Thermochemical Conversion: Cellulosic ethanol production through the gasification process
